Hello Everyone, My name is Alice Comer and I want to welcome you to your best experience with today's health care system. Having been a nurse for over thirty years, I have either worked or had experience in most aspects of health care...from the hospital to education, case management to management as well as in health insurance. So, as you can see, I have most likely seen and/or done a wide variety within the healthcare system. During these times, I have seen people wandering aimlessly in attempts to maneuver through the complex system we call healthcare.
The healthcare system has moved greatly toward specialist care, which is good to a degree. However, this along with payment regulations has created a "Monster". The system is fragmented to the point that a person likely will have multiple doctors for multiple health conditions. There is usually no one person to help sort it out and provide solid direction options. There are areas that do have people to assist, but that is few and far between. Each one of the multiple doctors likely will not communicate well with each other. This can lead to increased errors, omissions and a very confused consumer.
I am attempting to fill some of that gap. I can provide some coordination of services, education related to medications as well as your medical conditions. I will provide you with information to assist you in making proper choices that will benefit you and your family. I can also be a "coach" and motivator as you move through lifestyle changes to improve your health. These are only a few of the areas where I can help YOU manage your health conditions and services.
